Poster Creation
Poster Creation
We made two poster's with the first one being created and then decide against as we felt it wasn't the best it could be.
We felt that the idea behind it was clever but when looking at the poster its hard to tell are idea and what we was aiming for. This poster did have a clearer connection to the music video as well but there was the problem of taking the pictures. The pictures was too bury and become hard to take as it was had to get a good shot in such an uncountable angle. This lead us to decide on a different idea for a poster in the end which become are poster.
Are new idea was to do with the three band members and was much closer to the digi pack idea we had. We took the plan from are digi pack and evolved it into are poster design.
We liked this idea but again tried to make it more simple so it would fit better. In the end we decide on three solo pictures of the band members next to each other. we decide to get these pictures near Grimsby dock as there was a setting that fit the idea of grung the band was trying to show.
These photo's came out much better so instead of just using them for are digi pack we used them also on are poster creating a constant theme between the both. With these new photos we begin to shrink them and add them to are poster.
These solo close ups become important and with some of the effects we add when doing the Digi pack we could use on are poster as well making it easier on are self's.
We also add the extra information on the bottom of the poster like most
posters. This include the name of the band and other information
including links to Facebook and twitter. This finished off the poster and was the final parts we added.
Editing The Main Task
The editing of are main task was then done on Adobe Premiere. This is because we felt it was the easiest and best editing software to use. We first of started by making a basic plan of the performances and narrative story in the editing software. This because of all are footage was too long so we had to edit it down. We then put down the music track and slowly started editing around the music. We got rid of scene's we felt was taking up time and made sure to cut between the performance and narrative parts of the music video on the beats. The hardest part was linking the music with the performances. we had to try and match the live performances with the track we had playing. In the end a lot of it is very close to the correct bit with it nearly impossible to see the differences. In some bit where we had trouble with we used clips of the band where you can't see perfectly what they doing hiding the fact they might be on the wrong part of the song because it looks like a constant performance.

Photoshoot Plan
We had two photoshoot plans because we had two different ideas.
The first photoshoot plan
It was a very basic and simple pictures we was after. In the end we couldn't use these as they came out too blurry and didn't really capture what we was aiming for so we set up another photoshoot.
The Second photoshoot plan
This second Photoshoot plan had a lot more shots giving us a range for both are poster and digi pack. Also by using the same photos for both are poster and digi pack it kept a theme through are whole video.
